WOW did this movie SUCK! I love Penelope Ann Miller and she couldn't save this crap.

I thought it was pretty decent. Mostly because of good acting.

Thought especially Kristen Stewart did a terrefic job.

I thought it was all-around fuckin' terrible. Stupid story, no gore, dumb characters... It just had nothing going for it as far as I'm concerned. Hated it.

I haven't seen it, but from the trailers I've seen on TV it doesn't look too good. It kind of looks like a bad imitation of a Japanese ghost movies like Ju-on and Pulse.

It's very much inspired by the Asian ghost movies.

And that's a good thing in my book. ;) :)

Agreed - bad, bad movie. All the stylistic trappings of Asian horror movies with none of the understanding of what makes those stories work.

Since when has gore ever been an issue with horror movies...the goal for horror movies is to scare not to gross you out..the story was decent 3/5...effects were
grudgey 2/5...acting was great 4/5...directing was amazing great lighting and just the right angles 5/5....this movie was strange and it wont be everyones type of movie in fact very few people seem to like this movie...i think that this is all about people thinking that this movie was going to suck at the get go so they didnt even give it a chance...i would not buy this movie but id dont regret renting it

Well, I think gore is a plus when a movie has nothing else going for it......;)
Anyway, I haven't seen this yet, I keep forgetting about it, adding it to the netflix list now.

This movie really sucked. It wasn't scary, the characters were shallow, plot was stale,etc. An all around clusterfuck.

However, the actress that played the daughter is a hot piece of ass. She'll probably have a decent career in B movies.
