Anybdoy remembe Prophecy from the late 70's early 80's?

It was about a logging town that had a mercury contamination in the lake and some animals mutated. There was a huge killer mutated bear. I loved that movie but can't find any mention of it anywhere.

I have the movie AND the book written by David Seltzer. I actually read the book before I chanced across the movie, and at that time I thought it was one of the best book-to-screen works ever done. Boy was I wrong!

Later I came to know that the novel was actually based on the script which Seltzer wrote for John Frankenheimer. The script written by Seltzer was fantastic, but the book which he based the script on, was even better. It still remains one of my favorite novels...and the movie is great.

Thanks for bringing it up, ateup. This one is highly recommended to anyone who hasnt seen it yet, and for lovers of mutations, huge creatures and nature gone wrong, plus gore.

Posher is one who would really love this. Am recommending it to Alky, Moth, Angra & co.

Do they ever show the mutated bear? I liked this flick as a kid, but I don't recall ever seeing the bear. I just remember alot of camera work and such...but it is a good movie. Had a really good horror feel to it...
