Uhh no not really. Movies need more original soundtracks, not metal. Although Feast's metal filled soundtrack was good.

There needs to be more metal in everything but especially in horror films. The only film I can think of that had a Slayer soundtrack was River's Edge. As good as that was, it wasn't horror. What we need is a horror director smart enough to do a Slayer soundtrack.

Agree and disagree... I think Slayer (SLAYER!!!!) would be the ultimate band to use for some of the frenzied gorier scenes in horrors, but there are other genres of music that can help create an eerie feeling of foreboding which metal would not be able to create.

Not until they play Black Sabbath-Black Sabbath in one.



But i would like spill the blood by Slayer in one.

Metal in Horror movies is as white trash as wife beaters, Malt Liquor and cigarettes.

Metal has no place in horror movies. It's a stereotype. In fact, it will only make a horror movie seem silly. Imagine Jason killing a camp of kids with Drowning pool's "Let the bodies hit the floor" playing. It's cartoonish.

28 Days later had a perfect soundtrack. Instrumental pieces. Metal is contemporary and won't stand the test of time. 20 years from now, the music will be garbage. Me.... I can see in the future. :cool:

Personally, after I watched The Devils Rejects I think Rob Zombie should be in charge of every soundtrack to every new movie made. Horror or not. While Im not a huge southern rock fan those songs went with the sences perfectly. The score of the movie was also excellent imo.

I agree with Wensday 13, Rob Zombie really sets the mood with his soundtracks. The "I remember you" scence in House of 1000 Corpses was fantastic, and the final scence in the Devils Rejects worked beutifully with Freebird.

Horrors could use more metal, but it could easily make the things seem tacky and cheesey. I guess it all has to do with the actuall movie and the placement of the music.
