underworld review
it wasnt that bad and the story line was pretty good! but if ur gonna do a movie on vampires and warewolvs then atleast get the history of the creatuers correct! we all kno that silver bullets can harm a ww but it wont kill them a sword on the other hand will! i think the director kno more aboot the ww. the on the vampire side holy water only temporarly damages a vamps skin. you have to stab them w/ a wooden stake through the heart to kill them or burn them alive! aside of the small deets the movie was good and the gore was good too. :D

I haven't seen it, but look
if you look at all vampire movies it's different every time they sometimes change certain facts to fit the movie |
See Modern Horror films there is a thread about this already. thought this movie to be done poorly, way 2 predictable.

It was not as cool as i thought it was going to be but i did like it!! As far as changing the rules on what kills vamps and werewolfs, that really pisses me off, yes we have hit a nerve. they need to stick to the basic's.

Bored me to sleep in the theater. I thought I was watching models in a goth fasion show.

I'm just so glad they didn't make this movie a freakin' love story ala Titanic or Pearl Harbor.
I guess I went into the theater with such high expectations that the movie never really met them. A lot of potential was lost. What I got the biggest kick out of was watching the special featurette on DVD and listening to them talk about making the ultimate vampire movie. What a laugh! |

not as good as i thougt it'd be but i think its worth a rent |
Science fiction, not horror. The "monsters" are explained away as genetic mutations and are mainly there just to explain why the main characters can jump real high and do flips during the Matrix-esque action sequences. The only horror element comes from the neo-Goth feel (as in The Crow and Tim Burton's Batman movies) the filmmakers tried to give it. Plus, the filmmakers said a lot of bad things about the genre in Fango and other magazines. If you don't like horror, don't work in the genre. Make a Jay-lo movie or a romantic comedy. We don't need you.
