Why I no longer hate the Nokia ringtone
 

I've heard that the Nokia ringtone is now the most played tune on earth. I've been digging my heels in for years about mobile phones and still rue the day when I had to get one - though it's used for calls and (fully spelled and punctuated) texts only - no camera, no games, none of that bollocks.

Anyway, I just don't hold with the world's mobile phone madness, so when I heard this I decided to do something about it. I wrote this:

Now when I hear that particular ringtone, it makes me smile because that short film is what I see in my head. :D

It's my first time holding a camcorder. What do you think? I hope it brings a small ray of horror sunshine into your lives!

Stubbs - that's a corker! Normally I can't bear ringtones of any kind but that would have had me on the floor!

I did hear an even worse ringtone on the bus the other day. Some new parent had obviously had the great idea of recording her child screaming and inflicting that on the world as a ringtone. As soon as I heard that I wanted to kill - and it went off several times during the bus journey! Maybe my next short film will be based on that - although I'd need a completely new slant on the story. Any ideas?

Heh, the 2 guys that helped me with the technical stuff are both called Ed. That's Ed the storyteller's house and his pet head - and can you believe they decided to call it 'Bob' instead of the blatantly obvious 'Ed'? Go figure!
