Twin Peaks question

I have never watched the show Twin Peaks, but I am probably going to give it a go sometime soon (Don't ask me why. I hate David Lynch.) I noticed that the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a prequel. Should I watch it before I watch the series because that's when it takes place chronilogically? Or after I watch the series, because that's when it was released? Someone please let me know. I don't wanna watch it and be lost. (Ha! Did I just say THAT about a David Lynch movie?)

If u dont know who killed laura palmer Id watch the tv show first because this is revealed in the movie and I dont think this is revealed til late in the tv show. I havent watched either for a few years.

Yes, I'd agree. Though be aware that there is a feature length prequel to get in before you reach the first episode...

Give it a chance. For my money it's one of the best series ever.

Watch the movie after. The suspense of the show has a lot to do with not knowing who killed Laura and trying to guess. Also there's a lot of really fucked up stuff that is only freaky cause it makes very little sense. The movie clears a lot of stuff up but I liked not knowing better, personally.

It's a really good show though. I didn't know what the hell it was when I started watching it (this was like 4 years ago). I was just intrigued by the dancing midget that seemed familiar. Turns out my Dad used to watch it all the time, who knew?

You wanna know my favorite part of Twin Peaks? It was the earlier episodes, before the mystery started to get unraveled. When they started figuring it out, I lost interest.

What I loved about the early episodes was all the off-the-wall stuff they were doing. That whole coffee/pie obsession...the scene of throwing rocks at the bottles to divine the name of the killer...the Log Lady saying things like "Shut your eyes and you'll burst into flames!" ...and stuff like that. And the dancing midget. I loved all that weird stuff!

Wasn't Eerie Indiana something like Twin Peaks for kids?...I only caught a couple episodes of Twin Peaks and of Eerie Indiana...I thought they were kinda similar

It was more of an X Files for kids, It was basically about a boy who kept track of all the weird things that happen in Eerie.

Thanks for answering that...From what little bits of Twin Peaks and Eerie Indiana I saw (not a big tv fan) I actually liked Eerie Indiana better...I thought it was more interesting

Hmm...I wonder if the series ever came out on DVD...I should buy that for the kids...I'm gonna look for it
