Halloween vs. Scream

What film is better?

Due to the recent discussion in the "Suspiria" thread, here goes the poll. Instead of it going on forever and ever and ever, the first film to reach 10 votes wins. Ready? Go.

already posted a poll thread. oh well, maybe the old saying 'two threads are better than one' might prove true. also, scream=watchable and halloween=legend

Halloween.....DUH!

mcilroga 03-19-2007 06:09 AM

Oh, haha. Sorry, I missed it.

Isn't it though? Halloween blows Scream completely out of the water; it's just a better movie. The only reason I did this was because of the discussion in the Suspiria thread.

Exactly! I can't believe there is any debate on this... WTF? Scream is for housewives and little girls. It's modern kid-stuff horror wannabe screen filler... And that mask is just dumb...

It's OK to like Scream quietly in your house with the shades drawn, but for pete sakes fellas, have the decency to be embarrassed about it in public!

Halloween is by far the better movie, but people are too quick to bash Scream. It was a good movie for what it was, a different look at horror movies while making fun of itself. I remember laughing while they were discussing horror movie rules, as I have had the same conversations before.

HAH. I was in like... probably grade 5 or 6 when this movie came out. I saw it then and it was lame at most. I'll watch it every so often if it's on tv but other wise no.

Halloween was a great one though. Still is, even. It remains one of my favourites.

My thoughts exactly. Scream is fun; but Scream is just another slasher, though more of a parody slasher, that was heavily influenced by Halloween. They're in different leagues.

It's kind of like saying:

Which do you like better? God or Jesus?

Scream.

Everyone can get over it too.
