Pantera:tribute to the heavy metal gods

does anyone like pantera as much as i do???

when i feel sad i listen to pantera

when i feel mad i listen to pantera

when i feel like saying "fuck the world" i listen to pantera

i got the best of album...these guys are awesome....in the late 90's when they came out with "rap mixed with metal" they kept making metal music and kicked ass....

(R.I.P) dimebag

They aren't exactly my favorite band, but when I want some metal it just doesn't get much more metal than Pantera. Kind of makes me want to fight.

Meh

They're OK, but nothing special IMO.

I think some of their stuff is great and the drummer, along with some of the guitar work is very well done and creative. As far as heavy metal goes I'd put them way up there on my list but they're far from one of the best bands out there.

I never cared all that much for heavy metal. Pantera's ok, but like everyone knows, i'm "way too mainstream"

"Vulgar Display Of Power "was a very important record at the time of it's release.
Pussy "hair" Metal was still a little bit popular and Pantera put out VDOP and finally killed it off for good. I love that record. :D It's completely BRUTAL.
The 2 records that followed "Far Beyond Drivin" and "The Great Southern Trendkill" were also just as good. I didn't like "Reinventing the Steel" that much. I guess it's because that's when Phil's Heroin problem was spiraling out of control.

What's very amusing is that Pantera started out as one of those "pussy hair metal" bands.

far beyond drivin' was more brutal than VDOP because they all kicked ass every song...and there was so much cussing 575757 F bombs the songs were hardcore and in your face...but VDOP you cant forget walk, mouth for war
