Not a moment too soon.

Okay, i have been pretty proud of myself for the past couple of months because i successfully reigned back my caffeine consumption (at my peak about 4 months ago, i was drinking close to a quart to a half gallon of coffee a day).

In light of some recent events (a bottle of Jack Daniels that did a disappearing act), i decided i need to do the same thing with booze. the last drink i had was on Sunday, and i have been cheerier. Now, i am only doing this until Feb 28, but i am hoping it will allow me to keep things more incheck, but check this out:

i fopund this online:
A person going through alcohol detox will experience many withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms can appear 6-48 hours after ceasing alcohol consumption. Mild withdrawal symptoms may include:

Shaking (in my case, very mild and not very much)
Perspiration
Depression
Bad dreams
Headaches
Vomiting
Restlessness
Loss of appetite
Insomnia

yay me. i apparently regularly consumed enough alcohol to have withdrawl symptoms. Dont i feel cool:rolleyes:

I do everything just enough.

I used to get hardcore shakes, fully body tremors. If I was holding a cigarette, my hand would be extremely shaky. Doesn't happen anymore, I couldn't be a heart surgeon but my hand isn't noticeably spastic.

Anyway good luck, Vodstok. :)

Thanks. It sucks when you realize that you had crossed the line from casual to addict.

i went through this a couple of years ago because i was going into surgery, and i hated it. Im just trying to keep positive. and i am imagining that lovely 6 pack of corona I'm going to down March 1st :D

I know someone who was an alcoholic until he got obssessed with drinking 8 glasses of water everyday. I guess it's hard to be an alcoholic when you have to fit 8 big glasses of water in every day. :D

nothing worth doing is easy blah blah *insert another cliche here*

I never knew that drinking too much coffee can give you migranes.
Shit so i cut back from 12 cups a day to 6..
Haven't touched alcohol since i was 18.
aint i a teachers pet :o

It doesnt hurt watching shows like grey's anatomy and house and seeing repeatedly people having complications becuse of cirrhosis. I dont need to make life any harder than it is. Not to mention wondering if i should take something for my headache because i might want a drink and i dont want my liver to fail... just stupid..
