Today's The Day...I've Got One Less Mouth To Feed Now :(
 

Seri is moving into her new place today...She already paid her deposit and first month's rent, signed her lease, blah blah blah...

It'll probably take 2-3 weeks to move ALL of her stuff...EVERY room in our house has at least SOMETHING of hers in it...Her bedroom is so full that her things have taken over the diningroom, she has stuff in our basement AND in my mother's basement, as well as a storage unit and we still have to pick up some of her furniture from the furniture store where they're holding it for her!


It's a strange day...Excitement, fear, happiness, sorrow, pride...So many mixed emotions for ALL of us...

She asked me if I wanted to hang out in her bedroom with her one last time.

I'm sure there will be lots of pictures once she gets all settled in

I'll try to catch you at home later today, and we'll discuss.

But really, we'll celebrate Seri growing up, and don't forget all of those phone calls, "Mom, they said that I have to do yah, by this date, and I don't know what that means.... Mom, I have to get my taxes in, but I don't know what to do. (It's April 17th, mind)... From a payphone, "Mom... um... I got my phone cut off because my roommates never gave me their half of the bill and roommate A has been calling her friends in Las Vega." "Mom, I'm in Columbus, and my car broke down...";) :)

As forfeeding... I remember how much you told me you needed to feed Jordan, so at least that part kind of balances out considering that kid can put away four times as much as Seri.

LOL...Well, she has a cell phone, so I think that'll be okay...She doesn't HAVE any roommates, so she's good there, AND I already taught her how to do her taxes (she did Stupid Shane's for him last year, and she's going to do her own as soon as she gets her W-2s)...I think we've got things pretty well covered, but I'm prepared for the unforeseen nonetheless :)

Yeah, I know I'm still gonna baby her...As soon as we get all of her furniture, dishes and other things moved in (I got her a couch, loveseat and pots and pans for Christmas, GOOD ones that will last a lifetime, not the cheap shit that she'd have to replace every year...and her dad bought her a microwave for Christmas), I'll be taking her to the store and buying her first load of groceries...I know there will be so many things that she's used to just having that she'll only think of when she reaches for it and it isn't there...You know, those things that are just ALWAYS there, like spices and whatnot...I THINK she has everything she needs (more than enough actually), but I still believe there will be things we simply haven't thought of...In a way, I think it'll be kinda fun :)

Well, she probably won't be calling you with the whole, "Oh god, mum, I heard a noise!!" If she does, though, you know there's a problem. Call me, I'll do a reading.

OH...I forgot to mention...She's moving 5 streets over from us, which is 2 streets over from my mother...lol

Couldn't she move five streets over from you in any other direction?:D

Nope, small town, she'd be in a different city from us...lol...My mother lives 7 streets over from us and she's in a completely different city AND COUNTY...:D

Oh, and she's in a different city and county than Seri, just 2 streets away

She shouldn't have any problems remembering her address either, it's 24 Rosebud...Ours is 12 Division, so her new address is just double ours, and Rosebud is easy to remember...Kinda weird, huh?

Now you have an extra room for me to move into. :p J/k.

I'm sorry Rayne. I really can't imagine how that feels. :(
