Creepy Movie Ending(s)

There was a horror movie, I think I may have seen it on USA's 'Up All Night' back in the 80's, where at the bitter end of the movie, the camera slowly pans up this corpse's body up to his face. All the while there's this creepy music playing. The camera stays on his face for a few seconds and his mouth slowly moves to an evil grin. Then the credits abruptly roll. . . can anyone tell me what this movie is or if it sounds familiar? Thanks in advance...

Possibly Soavi's "Stagefright"?

Not exactly what you described...but the final shot is pretty close.

No, I don't think it was 'Stagefright', because the killer wasn't dressed like an owl. But it was from the 80's though. It shows the killer's face. He appears dead, then his mouth slowly curls into an evil grin, and the screen abruptly goes black, immediately thereby showing the credits. Scared the hell outta me as a kid.

p.s. I'm 99% sure it wasn't Asian.

In that shot he wasnt dressed as an owl, just a normal guy.

Not really the greatest movie, but the final shot is almost exactly what you're describing...
