What would you like to accomplish in the next year?

2006 was an incredibly screwed up year. never mind all of the crap that happened in the world, personally i had to survive sleepless nights, unemployment, potential flooding, apathetic family... the list goes on...

I am hoping things are different this year. these arent really resolutions so much as a wish list:

I would like to drop my weight down to what i was BEFORE i got a "sit on my ass all day" job, 195 (got a little over 30 lbs to go....)

Quit being such a cynical asshole. Seriously, my baby is getting older and catching on to more and more every day... I would very much like for her to figure that little talent out all on her own. I want her to be happy go lucky, not pissed off all the time.

Not getting fired this year would be a huge improvement. Might mean im here less, but you all will live ;)

Do one of the following: Finish at least half of 2 working screenplays, or much better, finish one whole one.

Write at least 10 more short stories.

Pay closer attention to my wife.

Work harder in general.

Swear less (again, for the baby)

Get my website more inorder and actually implement a lot fo the special features i have designed (really cool stuff, IMO anyway...)

Perhaps get the ball rolling on my own webdesign/programming business (extra cash never hurts :D)

I know, big ambitions for the next year, but all of them are easily attainable if i am focused and stop being so damn lazy. Anyone else have any ambitions for this year?

Thats one huge list ..
the 1st step to changing is actually posting one..
let me see..
1: spend more time with my baby
2:thinking before speaking
3:be more open minded
4:stop criticising others i think are real fucktards
5:play less WoW
6:stop pissing ppl off just for the sake of pissing them off
7:stop being lazy
8:stop buying pointless shit
9:stop doing dumbass stuff
10:complete some of my music

these should be accomplished in the year 2525
cept for number 1 :o

My goals for this year are:

Finish my first semester of school
Get myself organized
Eat healthier
Exercise

My goal with school is to work on it every night when I get home from work so that I have my weekends free. I'm still on this stupid Computer Literacy unit and I need to get through it so I can get back to the good stuff (Biology, etc.).

-Finish my first year of college (passing everything)
-Get a new Part-Time job
-Spend more time with my daughter (the first two things make that hard)
-Lose all the weight I have gained in the last five months
-Stop trying to change the past and enjoy the present

I plan to learn more about asset allocation and do a complete overhaul of my investment portfolio. Rather than relying on others and feeling like I'm being screwing, I am going to learn how to make better decisions on my own and make sure that what little money I have is working for me.

I hope to be completely finished with my first feature-length script and have production underway by July or August of this year. With any luck, Broken Dolls will be ready to show distributors by year's end.

Maybe you can just start small. That is what I did in the beginning, making minimal contributions to a Roth IRA for a few years. It adds up fast, especially when you use dollar-cost averaging (i.e., depositing small amounts throughout the year instead of large one-time payments.
