Red Circle Of Death

It happened last night. My son goes to play the 360 and the dreaded
RED CIRCLE OF DEATH". Fuckers.....I have a couple of games on the x-mas list too.

I will contact microsoft tonight and see what happens........I'm not to happy at the moment.

what is this "red circle of death"? is that what appears onscreen when your 360 breaks? I hear they are notorious for falling apart.

When you turn on the 360 there are a circle of green lights that flash........red is certain doom.

I fully support this method of repair.

I haven't had time to contact Microsoft yet [ out shopping every night ] but I did read on-line some people having the same problem....apparently its a loose connection...bad solder job....so what some people did was wrap a towel around the system and turn it on for about ten minutes....the overheating would fuse the connection together.....i'm fucking wacky enought to try it last night.....guess what.....it worked.

I'm sure its only a temp fix....but it might hold me until after the holidays when I have more time to sort it out.

I took my 360 over to a friend's house to play it and when we turned it on I got the red cirlce of death.I was almost ready to cry, but when I took it back home and plugged it back in it worked just fine and I haven't had any other problems out of it since.
