Why do people like the Crow?

I caught the Crow the other night when I was bored. I'd seen it when it first came out and hadn't been particularly impressed. Now I thought it was so bad it was hard to watch. Does anybody actually like this one? I realize it isn't technically horror, but enough people dress up like the main character for Halloween that I figured it was okay to post about it.

To me, it's one of the best action movies out there. Pretty good story to go along with it as well.

More of the gothic crowd like this movie as well as Underworld.

J. O'Barrs graphic novel The Crow was intense and very emotional.
I think the fact that Brandon Lee died while filming also had an impact on why people were impressed with this movie.
It's a movie that's haunted, based on a novel written by someone haunted.

I liked the look and the feel of the crow ..
there wasnt anything else like it when it first came out ..
Brandon Lee had a great look and presence, there was an effective soundtrack .. a badass villian with an even more badass girlfriend.
good action,

whats not to like ?

I'm not obsessed by it as some people seem to be...but, I liked it ok...why?
Good action sequences/stunt coreography, great soundtrack, decent storyline, it was dark, and based on a comic I quite liked, pretty decent job of it too.

LMAO it's goth love story, there wasn't very much action at all.

I love it, but you people are lying to yourselves when you say you like it because of the action. ;)

"good storyline" adequetly covers the rest for me.
There's knives thrown into people, stabbings, shootings (a whole tablefull of people at a point), torture, explosions, death by fire, and a rooftop swordfight...it's not really "lacking" in action. Most of the action is very well stylised and coreographed...hence, I like it.
