Old School Rap Fans
Am I the only Ol School rap fan on this forum. It seems like the majority of people who watch Horror movies listen to heavy metal and rock. Do we have any Dre fans or Eazy E, NWA, Snoop, Public Enemy?
|
Love PE and NWA I'm also into Grand Master Flash, Africa Bambaataa, Kool Moe Dee, Slick Rick and KRS 1...the wife digs go-go like Troublefunk
|
i'm more into jungle brothers, black sheep, tribe called quest, de la soul.
i guess it's considered old school. NWA and Public Enemy are good too ..when i wanna be haaaard |
And the term "rap" always bugs me. It sounds like some old man's derogatory term for the genre - I call it hip-hop
|
...man o man, I haven't heard about or even thought about Black Sheep since 1991!
They have to sound just as good now... I have GOT find a CD of theirs to listen to! |
I've been listening to lots of Above The Law, Eazy E, NWA latley. I've always been a big Public Enemy fan (haven't checked out much of their new stuff tho).
I had ODB and Wu-Tang on before. |
I used to like NWA, Eazy-E, Public Enemy, The Ghetto Boys, KRS-1, Slick Rick, UTFO and all that shit BITD...Havn't listened to any of that stuff in quite awhile though...

well, the term rap - is from rapping .. its as old school as you can get. i'm pretty sure it was called that a long time before the term hip-hop. there are so many little sub genres now i dont even know what the hell to call it. most of it is cha-ching garbage .. but there are some actual artists out there if you look hard enough. the term i REALLY hate is R&B .. the junk they call R&B now is an inforgivable insult to what i know R&B to be ... |
