PJ's Better?

Dead Alive/Brain Dead or LoTR?

avenger00soul 12-23-2003 06:58 AM

Hard to say, I'm torn between my loyalty for zombie horror and my love for awesome fantasy epics.

Haha, it is hard

Has anyone ever seen Forgotten Silver by PJ? Anchor Bay picked it up for DVD release too.

Apples and oranges. The budget for each film is so different...

I've always loved him for making Dead Alive a period (set in the past) zombie film.

Didn't see Forgotten Silver. Anyone see Heavenly Creatures by PJ? It's great.

Anchor Bay picked up the rights to release Forgotten Silver on DVD. So we'll all get to see it soon. Anyone seen Meet the Feebles? Pure craziness.

Meet the Feebles is insane.

For those of you who haven't seen it, it's like the Muppets doing Caligula or something... truly mindblowing.

Don't you love that people like PJ or Sam Raimi are making zillions of dollars after making schlocky gory insane films? THERE IS SOME JUSTICE IN THE WORLD.

Yes, it's very cool. I wouldn't mind seeing a few other genre directors make a big budget epic. Namely Stuart Gordon or Don Coscarelli.

Wouldn't it be great to see Don Coscarelli get the Harry Potter franchise? Think about it, Mike in Phantasm has a lot in common with Harry... both orphans, have supernatural powers, mildly threatening older brother figures, supernatural old man antagonist... he'd make a way better Harry Potter movie than Chris Columbus.

Never thought about it like that. Interesting.
