excellent mvie 8.5/10, but i didn't really understand the ending, and its bothering me and i gotta know as soon as possible.

so did all that stuff never realy happen? did he die in the war? wtf happened at the end? can someone expain it?

The feeling I got from it is that his soul was fighting death, and the whole thing was a hallucination from the stuff the government dosed them with. It was all in his head. Pretty trippy movie (no pun intended.)
