Equipment to get?
 
Hey I'm interested in making a movie but right now I don't have any equipment to make it with.I was windering if anyone could help me pick out the stuff to get I'd like it to be the cheapest I can get it for.Thanks.

It really depends on your budget here. You could spend 50,000 and still go much better.

I'd get a really, really nice camera and a good mic, shotgun or something.

Not a problem, and I know where you're coming from. Being a teenager, I certainly can't afford a camera like this. But if you want a really, really nice one, that one's probably worth the money. It might be slightly cheaper on Amazon.com or something, but I'm not sure.

I'm saving for the camera now and my parents will proably help me pay for it.What should I get for lighting equipment and mics?

im doing media production at uni and we use the uni's equipment. i got a booklet about how much stuff costs and the insurance on it but the prices were ridiculous.....hope i dont break any of the stuff.....camera covers were over a hundred pound.........they can charge what they want.

You can get some really nice light sets for about $500.

As far as mics, I don't know as much.
