Freddy Vs. Jason 2

Does anyone have a clue if this movie is even happening?

Exclusive: Fearless Director Ronny Yu

CS: Any chance you might direct a sequel to "Freddy vs. Jason" if New Line decides to do one?
Yu: Yeah, they've been talking about it, and they even talk about bringing Ash [from Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" movies] into the equation, and I thought it's terrific. It's almost like an updated version of "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly." If they really want to do it and they want me to do it, I'd love to do it. It would be a lot of fun.

Jason is New Line now, he used to be Paramount which was one of the reasons it took so long for FVJ to come out.

I agree, if they want to throw someone else in the mix make it another horror icon. The only problem with Leather Face is he's mortal, so I don't know if he would last very long in a fight with Freddy and Jason. I think that Myers might make a little more sense but I guess they want to do that "Helloween" were Myers vs. Pinhead. But I can't think of a way that they could bring another horror icon or Ash into the mix without fucking-up the story or messing with continuity. I think FVJ was prefect in that respect of paying tribute to both series and not interfering with their continuity.

man i hope that they do make a fvj2. that would be so cheesy that i would have to see it.

Well unforunantly Myers was destoried after #4 I think, there was so much coninuity problems with the rest of the Halloween sequals that was so bad.
But John Carpenter fells that he got his original vison out there with the first Halloween that he doesn't care about any other movies made b/c he gets $$$$$$$$ royalities. Hence the reason why he probably won't care about a Helloween or the Rob Zombie Halloween remake.

Kinda sad when you think about it b/c we are the die hard fans who love and respect this form of cinemia and this is how they repay us for buying a ticket, they throw dog shit at us half the time.
