The Welcome Thread

We need a general welcome thread because so many people are signing up and introducing themselves and it gets to be a lot of work saying hello to everyone--so this is a blanket hello. Anyone can add their hello under this one! I know what you're thinking. This belongs in the New Arrivals section. No, it does not! Because most of the regular posters never go there. Therefore it should be here, right here.

I was bored, that is why I wrote this.

Welcome! Please, make yourselves at home, just do not swear too much. And if you do swear, use a mild swear word like "poo-nuts," this is verry fashionable around here and in fact 4 out of 5 members use poo-nuts regularly in place of other swear words. They swear by it.

You may also discuss coffee and tea within this thread. There is a strict dress code for people attending this thread.

Welcome blanket.
And there's no smallpox. I swear.

Newbie guidelines for HDC....

Don't make a hello thread when you get here.
Don't make a goodbye thread when you leave.
Don't post a link to your stupid website. We don't care.
Don't take things personally.
Do make some valid posts & contributions to the board.

If you can handle those, you and I will get along just fine.

Many of us use it at home, too...In fact, our entire family uses it...It makes the baby laugh :)

Oops...I'm currently in my T-Shirt and panties (Just got out of bed)...So...Umm...Is this dress code only for new members?...Or...Will it be okay because you can't see me?

...Oh wait a minute, you CAN'T see me...Sooo...I'm wearing a black suit and tie...Yup, I definitely am :p :D

crabapple 09-26-2006 06:41 AM

You can wear anything you like--as long as it conforms to the dress code.

I am having coffee right now and it is dee-licious.
