It's M. Night Shyamalan and his new movie is called 'the Village'. You can find some info here:

It seems like the trailer will go online on December 24th.

It WAS called Within the Woods but had to change the title cuz of an indie that's coming out with the same name.

but have they found any one to play superman yet??

Dr.Kelvinstein 12-21-2003 08:25 PM

Last I heard it was a new guy from a soap opera, but that news is from back when Brett Ratner was slated to direct.

Thankyou, people.
As for the next superman movie, I dunno who's in it, I dunno who's directing it, I don't know, well, shit about it really, other than "whoever" has the reigns, or had 'em last time I read about the film (like, 2 years ago...?), has said that if there's to be a batman appearance, they only want Keaton....good move, huh?

Dr.Kelvinstein 12-22-2003 02:20 PM

Currently there's no Batman appearance planned for Superman. Originally they were going to do a Dark-Knight-esque Batman vs Superman, then they decided on a Batman cameo so they could do Batman vs Superman sequel (why make them fight when solo Superman has a little market value left; after he outstays his welcome, THEN well have him fight Batman--that's how Hollywood thinks.) Christopher Nolan, who directed the American version of Insomnia, Memento, and Following is going to direct Batman, and Christian Bale is playing the Caped Crusader. Contracts have been signed, so this is a done deal. Nolan said he picked Bale because his bone structure will look good in a cowl.

Here's to hoping the new Batman film rocks and they never make Batman vs. Superman. We all know that Batman has kryptonite anyway.:)
