the shinning, jumstart for mordern horror?
 

last week i watched the shinning and i realised that it helped make modern horror films. for example, in the shinning the child knows when that guy is gonna die, wheras in halloween jamies, michael myers neice, knows when he's gonna kill someone. so am i right or what?:confused:

Modern horror for me starts with TCM and peaked with Re-Aminator and Return of the Living Dead.... and the shit inbetween is dope (take your pick Maniac/Phantasm/Evil Dead/The Burning/The Prowler + whatever) Its discussed pretty well in Chas Balun's Horror Holocaust.

But fuck yeh The Shining is a mean piece of cinema. It influenced the pychologial thriller deal more than straight up horror for me.
