i was really close to getting this, but i chose cemetery man instead, but either way, is this good?

I thought it was terrible all around. You're much better off just getting the original Two Thousand Maniacs.

Its great. More of a comedy than a horror flick. I really enjoyed it. Made me laugh my ass off in a couple of bits. Definatley worth your time if you like splatter and toilet humour..... which I do.

but of course I have to watch 2000 maniacs which I hear is superior to this one

By the way it's written and directed. You would swear it was a Eli Roth film... Nope, he's just a producer. And he has the best part in the film.

I loved this movie personally. Good gore and plenty of comedy.

I want to see the original though. At the time I viewed it, I did not realize there was one before it.

Hell yeah! Great gore and cheesy as hell. Definately worth your time.
