What's the name of this film?

About 10-15 years ago I came across this horror movie at my local video rental store. I can't remember the name of it, but I'll briefly describe it:

As I remember there were two male backpackers travelling through South America or some Latin nation aboard a bus. Either the bus breaks down or they get a flat but for some reason the two travellers decide to get off the bus and hike to the nearest town. They are warned not to by a creepy old woman who warns them to avoid the town. Ignoring her advice the two head to town and once there they find the inhabitants boarding up and leaving. After inquiring as to what's going on they are warned that it is not safe to stay in the town tonight and that they need to leave and can return tomorrow. Needless to say our intrepid adventurers ignore the advice and end up staying the night in the city, unable to find a hotel or inn that's open. Then as midnight draws near they hear drums beating and watch in horror as the legions of Hell, accompanied by Satan himself march throughout the town-taking whatever victims they come across. People are tortured, there are satanic rituals in the plaza, etc. etc. Finally the two travellers find refuge in the home of an older man and his beautiful daughter who explain to them that one night a year the Devil is allowed to return and have full reign over the town in exchange for some past deal made by the townspeople or something. However, soon the travellers come to find that the man and his daughter may not even be from this time period!

Ok, so does anyone have any clue as to the title of this movie? As I remember it was a genuinely creepy film and I'd love to see it again.
