Three letter words....Ack!!

This is a question for the site adminstrators or moderators.

Why is it when I do a movie search and I enter a title that contains Man or Men, it always comes up that the word is too short....yet it doesn't do this when I enter other words such as the, it, a, and....so on and so forth.

It is slightly annoying when searching and I can't get the title to show up because of it, even though I know it's there.

Some enlightenment on this would be highly appreciated, also, getting around this wouldn't go unthanked. :D

The search doesn't even use words like it, a, an (I believe). It ignores them.

I noticed that afterwards. How is one supposed to search for the movie 'It', if this word is ignored??

You have to think your way around it...Such as...If you're looking for the movie 'It', try 'Pennywise', 'Stephen King', 'Clown', etcetera...Yeah, it'll take a little longer, but it's better than nothing...

BTW...You CAN search for 3-letter words, IF you do a bullet search, like this: *man*

But...It doesn't work with 2-letter words like 'IT'...I think it's because they're too common, and you'd end up with EVERY thread coming up in your search...

Also...Be sure to check the boxes to indicate whether you want to search entire threads or just posts, and whether you want your results to show up as threads or just posts....That will narrow your search

Thanks bloodrayne, for getting back to me and clearing this up...it was extremely helpful and I'm also hugely grateful!!:D
