desert alternative

Did burning man in 1996 - hot, dirty and annoyingly loud - but a good time for sex, drugs & fire.

if you're looking for a cool, original thing to do in the desert this month, the John Ford/John Wayne classic THE SEARCHERS is playing outdoors in monument valley on a portable, inflatable screen next Friday night.

On Wednesday they're showing THE SHINING at the Stanly Hotel (the location for the fictional Overlook Hotel) in Colorado on Wednesday night.

Either one of these is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Burning Man comes back every year.

I would love to go see the Shining in the mountains.

Me tooooooooooooo

It's a little too far for me, but I'm planning on driving 10 hours from LA to Utah to see The Searchers on Friday

Sounds like a set-up for another horror movie

Ahhhh, idiocy in the name of cinema
