has anyone seen the awful piece of trash, severed. i was bored out of my mind. it was such a waste of time. this is one of the worst zombie films i have ever seen, with one of the worst endings of all time.

there's a movie on my netflix, I havent gotten to it yet, but if it's Severed: Forest of the Dead you're talking about it, maybe I should take it off my list, lol. I always go week by week and just add new releases to it that look just minorly interesting, but I hate it when I end up with crap.

Was it way way low budget?

I think I'm watching it tonight.

it was really low budget and very boring. not even that bloody. fuck if they would of made it at least bloody it would have been fun. don't watch you will just be dissapointed.

first off - trees make zombies
second off - ending make me shake head, cuz it is very moronic, because good guy go help somewhat baddish guy when all he has to do is run away with the hot chick. very stupid characters in the movie.

just don't waste a netflix pic with it.

I've seen this about but thought it'd be hit or miss. I'll probably give it a rent when its off the new release shelf.

Aside from what i've read here, a bunch of reviews i found on the internet were really positive about this flick, so I decided to seek it out so I'd have something to watch tonight. I just finished it.

I agree with dabruce about the ending and the main character doing a really stupid thing, it was very retarded, and annoyed the hell out of me.

However, it actually appeared to be a pretty well made movie, didn't appear low budget at all, even though it was, and there was some gore in it. The movie really just wasn't entertaining though, every scene and idea in it (except the whole tree sap thing) has been done before in every other zombie flick, especially the second half of the movie which seemed to be mostly a combination of scenes stolen from 28 Days Later and Day of the Dead.

Plus, what action there was, was hard to even get into, cause the director insisted on filming 80% of the movie with that whole shaky camera B.S. that is way overdone now.

So yeah, basically a waste of time, although not completely as bad as I thought it would be.

yeah mattc, it was a very nice looking movie. but it was very hard to get into. it pissed me off every time when somehow was hacking away into a zombie they would be getting splattered with blood, but then in the next shot they barely had any blood on them.
oh well, just another wasted attempt at a zombie movie.
