Invader Zim
 

I know this is a TV show, but i decided to exercise my "Really Huge post count" privledges and put it wherever the hell I want :)

Anyone out there an Invader Zim fan? A guy worked with at my last job was a huge fan and got me into it. I guess it only lasted a season or two on nickelodean. It was along the line sof ren and stimpy as far as not really being all that appropriate for children, but it was a riot. It was surprisingly sophisticated; i bet most of the jokes were over the heads of most of the target audience (probably why it was cancelled).

It still shows on late night on nicktoons network, and 9 am on sat and sun.

basically (for those who dont know), Zim is an Irken, and alien race that lives to take over other worlds. They are rule dby the Tallest, basically, 2 guys that are the tallest ogf their species, so they are incharge. Zim is short. Not to mention stupid. He isnt even a real invader. he doesnt know this, but he was dispatched to earth because he is a screw up and they were hoping he would get killed. Invaders usually have a robot helper. Zim got Gir, who is functionally retarded, but cute as hell.

Zim pretends to be a school kid to take over the world. His nemsis is Dib, a kid who knows Zim is an alien, but is unable to convince anyone else that he is. In the show, people are STUPID. the whole thing is very dark and nihilistic, which of course, is funny.

Anyone of you a fan?

We LOVE Zim!!!...We have every episode on DVD, in the boxed set that's shaped like Zim's house...Remember the one with 'Tak'?...Yeah, you know that's 'Kat' spelled backwards, right?...She's me...heh

We also have all of the merchandise (clothes, toys, keychains, buttons, dolls, etcetera), too...I even have GIR sheets for my bed :D

I actually havent seen even half of the episodes, although i have been trying to catch as many as I can.

I have managed to insinuate it into my life in other ways though. When bree gets excited about something, sometimes she does Gir's voice and shouts "Tacos!"

I love his "proof" that he is human... "I am human, see? I have a neck!"

the best ones so far were "The Harvest" (I think. Zim is replacing organs with other items)

I also liked "Bad bad rubber piggy piggy". Any episode with lots of Gir is a good one.

Zim is awsome. You have to see the Rise of Zitboy episode.

HaHa...In The Harvest, Zim is stealing all of the kids' organs and stuffing them into his body so that he will appear human during the school's physical exam...He ends up looking like a giant blob with guts hanging out of him:)

Oh...How about when he was gonna take over the world with his giant killing robot, but it kept coming unplugged when he walked it down the street?...lol

Damn, I love that show...I can't believe they took it off the air

Seri has talked with Jhonen Vasquez (Zim's creator)...She's proud of the fact that they share the same last name :)

You should seriously buy the boxed set

I wish we could find a way to get Adult Swim to air it...Even if there won't be any new ones made, the old ones are worth watching aover and over again...

OH...AND...Both Zim AND GIR are constantly quoted here...Seri can sound EXACTLY like GIR....AND...If we're playing a game, and we win, or any time we do something cool, we usually say, "I am ZIM"...In his voice...YOU know what it sounds like ;)

Oh...That reminds me of when GIR removed his computer chip so he could fit a muffin in his head

And we CONSTANTLY say this to the baby: "Why IS his head so big, why is his head soooo big?"...Cuz his head is so big :D

I might be able to swing that... We got Bree $600 worth of jewelery this weeked (for $400 :D), so i think a buck thirty is a small price :)
