Horror Movie Soundtracks

I'm thinking of making up a Horror Soundtracks website, but need information on what soundtracks should be uploaded. Please leave your replies as to what Soundtracks i should upload, or to what you THINK i should upload. Let me know what is the BEST or WORST soundracks for Horror or Sci-Fi Horror out there. You will be able to download these for free, IF i can get them. I look forward to your replies...

Any of Dario Argento's films have great soundtracks. I'd probably start there.

The H.G Lewis stuff would be cool especially Color Me Blood Red.

Expanding on that thought, most anything by Goblin is fantasic.

John Carpenter films have some great scores as well...Halloween (of course, classic), The Fog, and the original Assault on Precinct 13 being the best (though AOP13 isnt really horror).

Some classics like The Exorcist or Amityville Horror cant be left out.

The Suspiria soundtrack is a must have. The score to that movie got stuck in my head for weeks after I first saw it. It's kind of inconvenient, when you're in the shower and all of the sudden that music cuts on in your head....

The Thing ('82), The Shining, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Psycho, that song from Dracula ('31)(<-help me out here, Return), and, of course,

Dawn of the Dead ('78)...the ultimate horror soundtrack.

Goblin is wonderful

It's not actually "from" Dracula, they just used it. It's originally from from Swan Lake, surprisingly enough.. It was used in a few other Universal films of the era as well.

One of the few things I actually learned from David Skal's commentary:p

*Spoiler Warning, just on the off chance that there might someone here that hasnt seen Dawn of the Dead*

I agree that parts (most) of the soundtrack is great, but damn there really are some awful parts. The best example being after Peter decides not to kill himself. That generic "Victory" style music was terrible.

Creepers..another Dario Argento movie...and Tales from the Crypt.Demon Knight..as well as Bride of Chucky!
