A dream i had that would make a great movie.

To keep it short and simple.

Insert basic zombie invastion/world domination plot.

In the begining of the flick,

a group of people hop on a cruise ship or tanker ship...

ONE zombie sneaks onboard.
=

Eventually others begin to "turn".

[Fish and Other life in the sea can be zomies as well.(so there will be a few fucked up "fishing attempts gone wrong" scenes.]

All zombie movies are somewhat the same, but i beleive the concept of having take place in the middle of the sea..lost..and in a world overrun by zombes, to be a worthy story.

Anyone feel this?

Not sure about marine-life zombies, and the ship would have to be massive to provide any tension.

Not a bad idea, though it's kind of been done before in Horror of the Zombies (aka The Ghost Galleon).

I think it should be a fleet of treasure hunters, going out to find a huge ocean liner that disappeared. As you said, though, one person gets bit. So now you have a haunted ship on one end, and everyone turning into zombies on the other.

This could be the greatest movie of all time!!

How about a film done in real time set aboard a 747? Not many places for people to hide so most would be infected. The old handful of survivors routine would be spiced up if they had to fight their way to the cockpit in order to land the plane.

I seem to recall hearing that the guys behind "shaun of the dead" are doing something a lot like this.

As for the ship thing...you could do it in stages...the launch, calm seas, storm/turbulence, then poseidon style shit, or sinking and have 'em have to get to wherever the lifeboats are at...

..and of course the "final scare" or sequel lead-in would be when rescue ships arrive to find the survivors, pick up the main cast that survived, and head towards another lifeboat, put a bay down to it, and have zombies rush onboard. Cut, end.
