I think this is horribly creepy

AND beyond bad customer service.

OK, as a lot of you know, my mom died of cancer last November. We had her buried down in a small town cemetarty in southern Minnesota, where a lot of family is buried and mom and dad had bought side by side gravesites for the two of them.

So after the funeral, she was buried and over the winter, my dad, my brother and I selected a very nice gravestone for the two of them. The company we bought the gravestone said they could probaly get it in before Memorial Day. Which we though would be nice, but we were more concerned that it be done correctly.

OK, they get it in before Memorial Day, but place the headstone wrong.
So my mom's date was over someone else's grave, that wasn't dead yet, and her body was under my dad's uncompleted date (cuz he's still alive).

So, the gravestone people said, no problem, we'll get it fixed. Now we get a call saying everything is right now, but they moved MY MOM'S BODY instead of the gravestone. So now my we have to figure out who fucked up where, but fucking-A, they had to move my mom's body because someone's stupid fuckup! They do this for a living, how can they be so lame as to make such as horribly basic fuck-up like this??????

Sorry, I'm really upset about this. I'll calm down and be OK in a while. But anything that anyone can say to help will be very much appreciated.

Shame on them, respect of the dead is something that has been lost as time has gone on.

I really don't know how to comfort that situation, since I'm still baffled they could do that, but I do want to tell you I'm immensly sorry for your loss, and if you ever need someone to talk to throw me a PM. I'm only a sixteen year old kid, but hey...

Things will get better, and just know now that your mother can finally rest in peace.

Thank you. Your response is appreciated more than I can say. I literaly feel like punching a wall right now, and I just don't do things like that. But I haven't really been dealing with my mom's death that wonderfully and this is just another thing I have to learn to accept. But, again, thank you alky for your response!

Of course. You're a member I really respect and enjoy talking to, you're kind-hearted and very friendly, and I hate to see a thing like this happen to someone like you. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Cant you like sue them or something? That is terrible!

monalisa 06-26-2006 06:29 PM

Lawsuits, unless you can seriously have a chance to win, are a waste of fucking time. It makes lawyers rich. I'm already involved in a lawsuit that I don't want to get into details about, and I DON'T want to ever do this again, even if we win (which I do think we will).

Man that's incredibly fucked up... and I too am sorry for your loss, Watching your parent die of cancer is a tough thing to do, I've been there, and I can imagine how the cemetery situation on top of that whole experience could totally drive you mad.

I'm pacing a lot and taking deep cleansing breathes and drinking a lot of water, and talking to people, just not only here, but I've talking to a few friends tonight on the phone too, which has helped too. And thank you!!!!!

Well, when youre sitting there
In your silk upholstered chair
Talking to some rich folks that you know
Well I hope you wont see me
In my ragged company
You know I could never be alone

Take me down little susie, take me down
I know you think youre the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flowers by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I wont forget to put roses on your grave

Well, when youre sitting back
In your rose pink cadillac
Making bets on kentucky derby day
Ill be in my basement room
With a needle and a spoon
And another girl to take my pain away

Take me down little susie, take me down
I know you think youre the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flowers by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I wont forget to put roses on your grave

Take me down little susie, take me down
I know you think youre the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flowers by the us mail
Say it with dead flowers at my wedding
And I wont forget to put roses on your grave
No I wont forget to put roses on your grave

Morbid, I know, but a good song none the less.

That's pretty fucked up, man. I hope, as a show of deep respect for the dead, they'd settle that mess as soon as possible and get things back to their rightful places. I'm sorry for the loss.
