Wtf?

What the hell is wrong with people these days?

Wisconsin officials seize 19 wolf-dog hybrids

Wisconsin animal control officials seized 19 wolf-dog hybrids from a Danbury farm after they were found living in squalor.

The pets were left unattended, chained to trees, with no food, shelter and only deer carcasses to eat.

The hybrid animals are 85-percent wolf, and many say they are not meant to be pets.

Owner Jami Willard raised and bred the hybrids on the property.

She suffered an illness that eventually led to financial hardships, lost electricity and no running water. She died this Monday.

Her friend Kevin Green, was upset the animals were seized because he had hoped to continue the breeding operation.

“This is an injustice,” Green said. “Jami would be out here with a shotgun shooting people right now if she knew this was going on.”

Because Green had no contract to purchase the dogs, the Humane Society helped deputies sedate and kennel the animals so they can be moved to a Colorado sanctuary.

Ann Heinrich of the Burnett County Humane Society says breeding of hybrids should be illegal.

“In my opinion, this should be outlawed,” she says. “I see no place in our society for these hybrids.”

Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland says rural counties need tougher laws regulating exotic animals so something like this does not happen again.

Transporting the hybrids to Colorado will cost more than $7,000. If the money is not raised, the animals might be euthanized.

What do you mean? I guess I don't understand why this story is so troubling to you.

OK, she died, fine, but why would anyone keep 19 wolves prisoner like that, they should be in the wild! I really don't agree with the wolf hybrid thing! And they can't be adopted, so they're probably just going to be put to sleep. How can this not be troubling to you?

I agree with Mona. Wolves are on the endangered species list and have been for a long time. Hybrids are a huge danger to the wolf population in the country. Imagine what people have to do to get wolves to breed with dogs. It's not cool. Plus, these animals are living in squalor. Plus, these animals will not make good pets at all period. Now, these animals are probably going to have to die.

What part of that sucks isn't easily understood?

You want to know what's wrong ? I turned on CNN lastnight, a 40+ year old male raped a 12 year old girl on 2 different occassions. Now he should of gotten 10 years in prision or more. He gets OFF with 10 months probation(SP) because he is only 5 foot 1 inches. How fucked up is that ?

See? Now that is fucked. A bunch of wolf/dogs tied to trees because their owner died.... I don't know. I guess I'm kinda an insensitive asshole, but I dont get my feathers ruffled over something like that. Considering the percentage of serial killers that come from Wisconsin, chaining wolfdogs to trees is probably a relatively minor thing compared to what else is probably going out there in the middle of the stix of Wisconsin. Someone was probably getting skinned alive in the next door neighbors house (Which is probably a mile down the road) while the investigators were busy worrying about the wolfdogs.
