I remember a short movie, maybe Creepshow, about a man who encounters a gargoyle and it tells him not to tell anyone about their encounter. The man then meets a woman, becomes successful, and finally tells his wife about what happened...chaos ensues.

I saw a movie in the 80's about gargoyles. They ate people, which I thought was strange. Gargoyles were constructed on churches for protection from evil, and in this movie they were eating people...except for this woman...who wasn't attractive. (Oh yeah, I was very young, and didn't know about the gargoyle legend until that night while watching the movie with my bro, who explained it to me. He was apparently baffled by the gargoyles eating people).
