I don't see anyway out of the situation other than not posting anything, but if we do that then we won't have a forum. That would suck. I'd just rather put up with the annoying "youngsters" that don't understand that we don't really mind when they leave and come back rather than us sit here and not post.:)

The thing about this is that you're being very hypocritical. I'm not defending the goodbye/hello threads, because, frankly, they are exactly what you say: attention whore threads. However, there was no need for yet another thread/post on the subject. This thread is not the first. So you were looking for attention, making you one of them.

Yes, but the more we post about people making posts (as I'm doing now) perpetuates the cycle as well. We have to break the cycle or it will drive us to insanity. The more people post about not posting the more I will post about not posting about not posting.

Do we see the conundrum?
