Mortuary

It's a tv movie I think, it happened to be on sci fi so i'm watching it. I had very low hopes, and thought it would be a pile of shit, but, I was somewhat wrong. For a low budget horror, this one isn't all that bad, worth a rent if you can find it, IMO. It isn't over yet though, it might go more downhill, but I think its kindof fun. The acting is bad in like, 50 % of the characters, but overall could be worse. Check it out sometime...

It's almost over... and it got somewhat worse... but for some odd reason, I'm really enjoying this movie... I have no clue why, plot holes are present but it's just kinda fun.

The ending was possibly the most predictable and worse endings ever.... jeez.

2.5/5

Mortuary (2006)

Theatre Release : January 13, 2006
DVD Release: April 18, 2006
PSP Release: Unknown (Send Update)
Director(s): Tobe Hooper

When the Fowler family moves to the small town of Arkham, Massachusetts, they plan on starting a new life. Perhaps a strange choice seeing as that new life takes on the form of running the long abandonded Fowler Brothers Funeral Home.

The locals fear the place, and there are whispers around town that the land the home lies on is haunted. The Fowler family will soon discover that something lurks beneath Arkham. Something that raises rotten corpses from their long forgotten graves and feeds on death itself.

Mortuary continues the long exciting train of Tobe Hooper's absurd horror films that started with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, its campy sequel, and Toolbox Murders. It's not the kind of film you want to sit down to and shrink in fear. Plot holes and storyline "absurdities" aside, it's a Tobe Hooper film.

And as far as I'm concerned, no other explanations are necessary.
