I am so angry..
No no ..angry isn't the word..
totally fucked off to say the least..!! I had a heart to heart with my girl last night..my 1st ques to her was .. where the hell did this come from?? WELL.. All through her school age , she has played netball..goal defence..i must add without sounding biased..shes very good., she has out jumped many girls taller than her and intercepted everytime. There were try outs a month ago and she applied for the position at her senior school.. The fucking coach..didn't give the chance.. in fact the fucking coach apparently told her...'quote' chubby girls have never worked out well in my teams..so unless you lose some weight..I won't be trialing you...enquote. By the time i left the school this morning, that bitch is jobless. Em a netball coach myself and i know how impressionable I am to these young girls ..so those word would've stung her very deeply' I honestly bawled my eyes out when my daughter was telling me this through broken hearted sobs.. FUCKING TOE RAG!!!! |

That it completely ridiculous. When I was at school, I had a few extra pounds, but still managed to make the team. I played Goal Attack. I idolised my coach, and for someone to do that to a girl is just fucking outrageous. Glad you got her fired.

not to be a square - but i think i'd report the coach to the school's head - a coach's job, especially with younger kids, is to ENCOURAGE development, not make brutal cuts based on where they are now (that shouldn't really happen until a few years later - IMHO)

Know we don't know eachother, but I just wanted to say "good for you," for getting that coach fired. Some people do not think before they speak, and then, there are people like that coach---it isn't that they don't think, it is that they are just ignorant pricks. I remember how extremely impressionable I was when I was playing sports in school. I was in gymnastics, for example, and weight was a huge issue. Many of us had eating disorders that could have been prevented, had certain coaches refrained from "overweight" comments. Your girl deserves much better than that and, hopefully, that coach has learned something from your actions.

This coach needs to be burned and fed his own balls (and his wife's)! That's fucking rude as hell! Like Zero said, you're supposed to encourage them, not insult and embarres them. I hate that fucking coach! I hate him!!!

That's harsh... you don't do that with girls. In wrestling the coach would be hard on a few guys but most of them took it and worked with it because they have a different mentality. If another kid calls a girl fat it hurts but when a coach does it... I can't even imagine. You're a bigger person than me, I would've had a face to face with coach. That's such bullshit and it pisses me off to think that there are people out there like that. Fucking piece of shit, I hope she never gets a teaching/coaching job again. I guess it's because so many of the woman in my family are a little overweight but I get really upset when I hear this stuff. My sister when she was in high school had a remark here and there but she could outrun, outbike, outswim, and outperform many a skinny girl. People don't even care what somebody can do anymore they just prejudge and stick to their opinion no matter how crappy it turns out to be and how wrong they end up being. I've seen lately about how your daughter has had poor self esteem lately and I really hope she can look past that asshole and feel good about who she is.

Have you ever been in such a rage that you just shake..?? btw..Meet the new coach for Mansell senior school.. :D.. to the demise of my girl..she actually hates my style of coaching..but like the others..she still has to trial. |
