Invasion of the Body Snatchers

I just watched this one over the weekend (the 1955 version), and it wasnt too bad, imo. Older movies sometimes dont seem as good, since they lack the "in your face, super-gore, special effects " that alot of movies these days have. Well that, and the fact its alot harder to scare or shock todays movie crowd than it was in the 1950's. Anyway, this one wasnt too bad, as far as old movies go. Anybody else seen it?

Avenger's thoughts:

For nearly every genre of film there is that one undeniable, be all-end all, black and white masterpiece. Horror has Night of the Living Dead. For suspense, it's Psycho. And for drama/romance, Casablanca steals the show. These films are classics, timeless pieces of celluloid waiting for the next generation of movie-goers to fall in love with them. For science fiction, this masterpiece is a little movie by the name of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I highly recommend that everyone see this important, genre-defining movie.

My high school science fiction/ fantasy teacher had us watch that. It was actually good. Very interesting.

I love it, also love the two remakes too. It's probably time for a 4th one as they seemed to make one every 20 years!

I own this one...Everyone should...The latest remake was pretty damned good, too:)
