nightmare on elm st. is waht made me get into the genre. when i was little i hated freddy. when isaw him on tv or a pic of him i would run and hide. i decided to watch it one day on tv and i was like waht was i so scared of its actually kind of kool. it was also a way for my brother and sister to keep me out of there rooms when i was younger by saying " freddys gonna get u if u come in here"

omg

i want to hurt myself....i almost forgot all about puppet master.....that is one of the films that got me into the genre as well....what a great fukin film

Scream got me interested in the genre. But I Know What You Did Last Summer nailed me. I think it was the chase scene that did it.

My "dad" made me watch Chukie when I was....6 I think. I was interested in horror books after that (because my mom didn't let me watch horror movies at that age obviously) and I read I know what you did last summer, Some secrets never did ("I still know what you did last summer).

So once I was allowed to watch movies again I watched IKWYDLS and the sequel and well...i was dissapointed.

I'm a little embarassed by the original Candyman is what really turned me into a horror freak. I think that Candyman looks like a cross between Bill Cosby (young) and OJ Simpson.

a nightmare on elmstreet was the only movie i remember seeing as a child that scared me. I was never allowed to see r movies when i was young, so i could only see them when a tv station played like a couple when halloween came around. I would tape them and watch them over and over. Thats what really made me notice i enjoyed the fear.
