Evil Dead remake?
 

I've posted this on the Upcoming board but it concerns a 1980s film so thought it appropriate here as well:

I just stumbled upon this on IMDb:

It's not another film of the same name as Sam Raimi is credited as the writer.

Kind of messing with a classic I think...

If Raimi is involved, I just hope he doesn't pull a duffer, as Carpenter did with his involvement in 'The Fog' remake as producer & writing credits.

All we can hope is that he makes an awesome movie for the fans, not a lame version for movie critics.

god no! i hope this doesn't happen! all remakes are shit (amminyville horror- really deviates from the original film and book).

loved the remake of TCM though, but why the fuck did they have to take leatherface's arm. that was fucking stupid! and now i hear they plan on a leatherface younger years prequel! why not call it the wonder years
