Evil Dead remake?
 

I just stumbled upon this on IMDb:

It's not another film of the same name as Sam Raimi is credited as the writer.

Kind of messing with a classic I think...

This project seems dead.

Evil Dead without Bruce? Not to comfortable with that. Not sure if the movie is going to happen, though I did hear Bruce will be semi-reprising his Ash character when a town gets attacked by monsters so they call in Bruce Campbell, playing himself. Three Amigos style, he defeated the monsters in "The Evil Dead" and the people figured he would be able to beat their own monsters. The problem is, Bruce doesn't own a shotgun or know how to use a chainsaw as weapons. More people end up dying once he's arrived than before.

I swear I heard somewhere that Ashton Kutcher was confirmed to play Ash in the remake while Bruce will continue Ash in the next sequal.

I read there will be NO Ash in the remake. :eek:

Well good, personally I hope they bypass the remake and just do the sequel. Actually when you look at the plot outline on imdb it says "Five friends (Ash, Cheryl, Scotty, Shelly and Linda) All decide to spend a nice, quiet weekend at a cabin out in the woods." Looks like there will be an Ash, but who knows, looks like the only thing they have right now is Sam's name on writing credits which he'll get no matter who directs it.

I hope if it's a remake its not for the money aspect, who am I kidding.
