Cradle of Filth
 

This is a great death metal/black metal band. Their music it's pretty good. And their lyrics are just breath-taking.

I really liked the film Cradle of fear also staring danni Filth

I know it's really cool in the metal community to hate Cradle and all, but I think they were actually pretty good up until Midian. Sure, they're terrible (almost a joke, in fact) now, but I still remember how amazing I thought Dusk and Her Embrace was back in the day. Most of the critics thought so too, actually, no matter how they try to deny it now. Oh, and Dani's lyrics are really good. He should just think about finding someone else to sing them.

I think I hate Black Metal in general. Dumbasses in their mum's make up singing about wizards and fairies.... SO scary :rolleyes:

Are you sure you're not thinking about power metal? The fantasy lyrics are really not a black metal thing... The corpse paint is really stupid though, you're right about that.

I like black metal, but it is really easy to make fun of. There are some awesome, very original bands making BM these days (Drudkh, Leviathan, Blut Aus Nord among others) but the majority of it is seriously stuck in the past.

I just wanted to say that Dustin sounds EXACTLY like Dani Filth when he sings...Kinda freaks me out......Sometimes when he's listening to Cradle Of Filth, I can't tell whether it's them...or Dustin's band...

I don't care what anyone says, Cradle of Filth rocks. Sure Dani's voice isn't the most pleasing but if thats all you hear then turn on your local pop station and stay away from any real music....you might hurt yourself. Cradle of Filth is more than Dani but thats all anyone seems to know. What about Adrian's double kick, Paul's riffs, or Sara's (you know, the fat chick) opera style voice, which has also been used by Mortiis.

Well shit, I started ranting.....it's just how I feel.

Honestly I like Cradle's music, but Dani's voice ruins it for me, He's to whiny for me but that's my opinion I would rather listen to Dimmu Borgir before Cradle anyday.... But in all reality I prefer black metal bands such as, Emperor, Burzum, Darkthrone, Dark Funeral, Mayhem, and the stuff from "Naglfar" is without a doubt top notch... And the band that started the whole genre
