Prog rock

So, does anyone else enjoy progressive/art rock? I'm talking about bands like Yes, Genesis (well, when Peter Gabriel was still in the band at least), ELP, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, etc... I know it's not a very popular genre anymore, but I really like it.

Yeah I've always enjoyd progresive stuff, Genesis material and Toto's stuff were really good back in the day, Dream Theater was what took it to another level for me though, as far as "Progresive music is to me in this day and age"....I mean you've had your Yngwie's and technical bands such as Rush, Kings X, Racer X and many more and such but to me Dream Theater set a whole new level for the genre...

I've never been able to get into Dream Theater for some reason. They just seem so incredibly pompous, and this is in a genre renowned for pomposity. Then again, maybe I just haven't listened to them in the right mood.

Also, thanks for the recommendations, Urge. I'm still more or less a beginner in this genre, so I always like to hear about new bands.

I really really love Prog-Rock/Art Rock. My favourite band is Goblin.
