Most notorious movies / scenes?

For me, the most notorious scene would be the fire extinguisher sequence in Irriversible, although it's not a horrow film as such. Any other suggestions for scenes or films that I might want to look out for?

How about the rape scene in that same film, notoriously difficult to watch in its single-shot take lasting nearly ten minutes?

Or the burning alive of the daughter (and her subsequent outrageous decaptiation by her distraught father) in Run and Kill?

The stabbing to death of the baby and pissing on its corpse in The Necro Files?

i dont know why - but i wasnt bothered by that scene in the least..
i was probably overwhealmed by the other ones (being shot at like fish in a barrel on the beach)

2 good ones already mentioned...eating the curb from X and stab scene from Ryan.

We've had this question before but seeing that the poster is new i'll give him the benifit of the doubt.

The splinter in the eye from Zombie always does it for me.

2 from Jaws...the head popping out of the hull and the chum scene.

Clint Eastwood has a whole slew of them from his Dirty Harry's but i always liked the "Do you feel lucky.....well do ya, punk" scene.

Defintly the stabbing scene in private ryan. what a horribly gut-wrenching scene. and that chicken-shit on the stairs just lets that bastard walk by him.

when i was little the swamp scene in Windtalkers had some effect on me.

the incest kid from burial ground was pretty fucked up.
