Roman Polanski's The Tenant

So.. does ANYONE understand this movie? Apparently the book ties off a bunch of loose ends that the movie left, but why would a writer want to do that?

So many questions about this movie.. It's way harder to follow than Mulholland Dr, which actually made sense.

I enjoyed the scene where they play soccer with a severed head though.. good stuff.

And also, how are Polanski's other films Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby?

I can only answer for Rosemary's Baby - it's fantastic. One of my favorite movies.

It was originally released in France I believe (Le Locataire) in 1976.

So no explanations about the movie? I thought it was crazy enough to check out his other work.. I just wish more questions were answered.

Also the dubbing on the DVD is so bad and quiet.. I had my TV up all the way and still couldnt hear some lines. Oh well.

I have not seen The Tenant, but Repulsion is beyond brilliant. Yes, Polanski is a creep, but he makes great films.
