Elizabeth Bathory
I was truly bored and decided to google one of my favorite sick and demented people, in this case it was Elizabeth Bathory. Then you lucky people came to mind as I sat wondering if any of you knew who she was. I'd emagine that some of you do. There are a few movies about her or with her in it like Warewolf Shadow and El Retorno Del Hombre Lobo. I think theres one called The tomb of the Warewolf or something like that, but I haven't seen it, and probably won't. So yeah.

info on her is available in endless vampire legend/ history books, the best film about her exploits is Daughters of Darkness and imdb will list it. it would take hours to write even a third of her deeds here. she killed 650 virgins after torturing them because she believed bathing in their blood made her stay beautiful and the ravages of time would leave her beauty unscathed. her cousin was the king of hungary and as it was peasant girls she killed, the law turned a blind eye. when it was clear this practice wasn't working her sorceress, anna darvulia told her she now needed the blood of noble virgins, the local clergy decided this could go on no longer and being to afraid to kill her they walled her up in a room in her castle alive.

yes, supposedly she died 4 years later and she had nothing to drink or eat, ect... I was reading for a few hours last night and learned very few facts that I didn't already know. She's very interesting though and It was worth it.

someone was charged with making sure she had food and water. wonder how she did her toilet business though......:(

guess you haven't heard of jorge grau's ceremonia sangrienta or countess dracula starring ingrid pitt but you can't be all bad as you seem to know some waldemar daninsky (though only night of the werewolf concerns elizabeth bathory) |
I was Elizabeth Bathory in a former life.
:D |
She's a fascinating character. It just goes to show just how above the law the nobility were considered in medieval times. Of course, she paid for her crimes in the end, but that hardly lessens the sheer enormity of the horrors she committed.
I believe there's a newer film out about her. Can't quite remember the title, seems like it may be "Eternal." |
This is a bullshit story. It was made up.
