The Pink Room

Is getting amazing reviews. It's described as the kind of book that leaves the reader too frightened to continue, to engrossed to stop. One nice lady compared the fright factor to that of Pet Semetary. Music, man. Pure music.
With that being said, IS Pet Semetary the scariest book ever written, as marketed?

Nope, it's not even that good as a King novel. It's all build-up and no payoff. Story builds and builds until it seems that King just decided, "OK, I need to finish this" and then wraps everything up one chapter. Supremely disappointing.

Far scarier are 'Salem's Lot, The Shining and It.
