warning for UK members who shop in ASDA/ Wallmart!

Bought boxset of Predator 1 & 2 in Asda the other day. Watched Predator the other night & its been cut! The scene with Arnold & the Machete " Stick around" has been cut out all together & the Scene where Carl Weathers Loses his arm has been trimmed down.
Went back to get my money back & had a hell of a job because i'd watched it. Had an amusing converstaion with the sales assistant & her manager about the evils of censorship before they refunded me.

They should not have refunded you..
They probably didnt even know...its not thier problem..find ot who they got the sets from and hunt thier asses down.

Im with Stubborn on this one. They really shouldnt have to give your money back because you didnt buy what you thought you bought. Does it specificly say Uncut? If not, thats just like if I went in looking for Evil Dead, and bought Evil Dead Trap by mistake. Not their fault I didnt read the whole package.

EDIT- Just a few typos

Sorry D.S. But I also have to agree with the others. You need to always be sure of what you are buying before you make the purchase. Always assume that if it does not state "Uncut" then it has been edited in some way. It sucks - but we all have been there and learned from that error.

I always compare dvds from region 1 or 2 before buying them. the point is, this films been on tv dozens of times uncut, my vhs copy from back in the late 80's was uncut. Would you expect the film to be cut? Also the level of violence that they cut out is pathetic, i've seen worse in anyone of the LOTR films & there PG13 certificate.
After i returned the dvd i checked the BBFC website & guess what they list the film as uncut!
