any writers?

so does anyone on this forum actually write horror or been published?

I'm working on a novel and have had several shorts published on line.

the novel is about a third done and I'm abit stuck so here's the question for y'all: given a psychic vampire-type monster who can cause both psychic and physical trauma and feed through force of will and distance, why would lycanthropy make it more difficult for said creature to feed?

my protaganist was just "gifted" with lycanthropy to better protect him from above creature, now I need to figure out why it's such a great gift.

thanks.

Doesn't that make him a werewolf?

Doesn't have to be wolf a lycanthrope turns into.

The monster who feeds maybe needs to hone in on certain 'life forces' generated by different creatures eg humans, dogs, cats whatever. A lycanthrope will have a unique multiple pattern or something which makes it impossible for this monster to track down. I've said this badly but hope you know what I mean.

Well, seeing as how lycanthropes are supernatural and preternatural,it definitely wouldn't have the same energy a human produced.
And the human spirit would probably be a bit more"juicey"if you know what I mean.

Is that your question?
What exactly are you asking here?

If this creature was 'gifted' with lycanthopy, then maybe his/its gift was pre-destined to fight the good fight so to speak...keep the vampires in check so they wouldn't overtake or grow beyond there ability to feed.
You know, like the lions in Africa now will eat a human in a heartbeat because there natural prey is sparse. The whole circle of life in nature is out of whack....so it would be safe to say,a supernautral world could be 'out of whack' as well.

I don't know,I need more info to help out here.

The gift of ripping apart countless people isn't enough?

Lycanthropy would also make a will stronger, harder to feed from. The animalistic qualities of the essence would make it stronger, and potentially taint the essence.

I write. I only have poetry published, ( a couple vampire poems too) cuz I can't get over the procrastination hurdle.

Write about how they can lick their own balls.
