Modern masters of menace?

Ok, so my question is... now that Vincent Price and Peter Cushing etc are gone, and Christopher Lee is past his prime....

Does anyone out there think there are any new actors/actresses who could take on their mantle?

I'd like to see the guy who played Denethor in lord of the rings in a few more films. He's got real potential I think.

Whad'ya think?

I think Cillian Murphy will be able to hold up the torch. He was great in Batman Begins (though I didn't really like the movie) and he was utterly remarkable in Red Eye (which I did enjoy). I think he is the finest new actor in Hollywood today, and, like mentioned before, could easily be a modern master of menace.

It's all in the voice with something like this, VP PC and CL all have powerful and distinct voices which really helps to give them the prescence on screen.

Yeah, Cillian Murphy definately made a good bad guy in Batman forever. Very creepy looking. Reminded me of Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange a bit. That psychotic cold stare.

I liked Batman Begins. I thought it was better than the others in a lot of ways. I cant take Christian Bale seriously though.
