Johnny Cash at San Quentin Prison..

So I get home from work last night and I am flipping through channels and I come across the original filming of Johnny Cash live at San Quentin Prison. One word WOW! This was amazing footage and music. I know this is not horror material but I figured since he is one of our true dark hero's this would be a fitting forum to talk about the Man in black. You all have got to check this out even if you are not a fan I think it will be a real treat for ya. It was on a channel called TCM im not sure what that stands for but I think it is a pretty pop channel. Also if you get a chance go check out Walk the line... this is a rad movie.

Turner Classic Movies

Ive seen clips from that concert, and will hopefully get a chance to catch Walk the Line while it's still in theatres. Cash is awesome, and the movie looks great.

Cash is someone I have always, and will always listen to. I was actually cleaning to live at Folsom prison a few hours ago...my family is fuckin obsessed with the man, haha, it's still great to see my grandparents get all cute when they play Jackson. Not too many(young) people I know are into him though, sucks...I got a couple of my friends to appreciate the man more, he deserves all the musical respect he gets.

I just found a torrent of this the other day.

The interviews with the prisoners are intense.

Ive got a bunch of cronies I grew up with in the 80's and 90's who are all into Cash. Some more than other's my buddy Wolfman idolizes him died black hair, smoked the same cigs and the whole bit. I ran w a pretty alt crowd mostly skate punks and mods in the 80's and 90's there was always a pretty keen understanding and love for Cash amoungst this genre of folks at least in the midwest.

I saw this quite some time ago and really wanna get a copy of it.
Mr Cash has always been a part of my life since I was a kid. Now I'm a man (apparently) a lot of his lyrics cut through me like a knife and fuckin' near bring me to tears. I listen to Hank Williams a lot more now because it speaks to me more. Mr Cash's first American Recordings album and his autobiography that came out about the same time will always hold a special place in my heart. The song he did with June "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" reminds me of a girl who broke my heart in two..... the songs he did by Tom Waits (Down There By The Train) and Danzig (Thirteen) picked me back up again. But like I said Hank is more me now..... and Dead Moon gets me too.

R.I.P brother you made this place better for a lot of people and I'm sad I never got to shake your hand.

Gotta give him props for doing a track originaly by Nine Inch Nails.

For Trent to give away the rights, Cash MUST have been an amazing/influential person.

He was pretty happy with the version and even stopped playing it live.
